How do I start?
We know you are flat out and probably just want the job done with as little fuss as possible. That’s why W4T make it easy to build a Tradesman website. All you need to do is drop us a line and we’ll swing into action.
Is it really as cheap as $599?
Indeed, $599 is cheap, even if you are getting a tradesman website built overseas, so how can we do this in Australia? Well, for Basic Websites, we use our tried and tested templates. We have our own ready made tradesman website templates to suit most trades. All we need is your information and we do the rest.
Are there any hidden costs?
At Websites 4 Tradies we believe in being transparent at all times. Extra costs will arise if you require customisations outside of the scope of the agreed design. We will tell you what we are going to build and give you the price. If you decide you want extras, we will give you a quote.
Can I use my own hosting service?
We strongly recommend that we host your website service. Our hosting supplier is based in Sydney and is among the best in Australia. Many 3rd Party Hosts limit critical access and in most cases their technical team is based overseas and extremely unhelpful. Where we are required to work with these providers, we are forced to charge an hourly rate as repairs, updates and outages are completely out of our control.

Why spend more than $599 on a website?
While all our websites are really ace, Basic Website builds are limited in the number of pages and functions they offer. Basic Websites will do the job and deliver contacts and rank in Google (with Digital Marketing and SEO). But as your business grows, so might your tradesman website. Smart form, online sales, complexed Galleries, APIs. These all require much more work and thus will cost more. But remember, in the century we live in, your tradesman website is you showroom and just a cost of doing business.
Can I speak with my developer?
Of course you can. Your developer will be with you from start to finish. developer is here Monday to Friday and within business hours to discuss your build or any other questions that may arise.
What do I have to do?
You can be as involved in the website build as you like. Obviously the more you can tell us about your business the better. Providing us with Good Quality images of your work as well as text about what you do, goes a long towards making your tradesman website unique.
Can you rebuild my old website?
Yes, we do rebuilds. Be aware however, rebuilding a website is the easy part, but if you have 3rd party hosting or other developers, things can get difficult. Any time required to access Domains or hosting may be charge at an hourly rate. Please call us to discuss your situation.
How do I get a Domain Name?
If you don’t already have a domain name, we can help you pick one that will represent your business and keep the likes of Google happy. Unless the domain you want is a premium domain (AKA already taken by crooked reseller), we provide a domain free for the first 12 months. After this they are around $20 per year. We take care of your domain name and it is hosted alongside your tradesman website.
Once my website is built, will I appear in Google ?
Hhuummm, that’s a tricky one. Essentially, unless the domain name and website are blocked, Google and other search engines will eventually find it. But just because they find your website, doesn’t mean anyone else will. Getting your tradesman website up the rankings and on the first page of Google takes time and expertise. Why use WordPress over Wix or Square?
This is an easy one. We are quite aware that Wix and Square offer some decent pricing and they are fairly easy to use. However, regardless of seemingly easy they are, they do require some time and effort, which you may not have. Your SEO efforts are also limited and lets be honest here, Google love WordPress. While basic Wix or Square Websites are cheap, once you start to want more, things start to get pricey. They are generally slower to load too, which can get frustrating for users of Mobile phones and so on. Finally, they cannot be built upon the same way WordPress can. Sky really is the limit with WordPress and with so much support world wide, you’ll always find a developer to help.
